Eating disorder is an unhealthy eating habit patterns or habits which leads to malnutrition and other severe diseases. Normal eating patterns are disrupted by psychological reasons which results the disorder. There is a growing statistics for both men and women regarding eating disorder which is quite alarming, especially for those who are on teenage and adolescent stage.
What is a eating disorder?
Anorexia nervosa is a psychological condition in which a person feels overweight even if the person is very thin or underweight, thus resulting to be very selective eating-disorder leading to malnutrition. These is the most common condition and very common for women and teens. Person in this conditions is very particular and insecure on their. They monitor is very much even if they are very thin already, they feel overweight.
Bulimia Nervosa is another popular condition in which a person cant control his comsumption which leads to overeating. They can’t really stop eating until they experience pain. There is a psychological condition in which to compensate, they resort to extreme alternatives like vomitting, excessive fasting, overexercise and laxatives.
This is the same condition as Bulimia Nervosa, or overeating in a short span of time. The difference is that they do not purge which leads to more serious conditions like obesity, diabetes, heart diseases and stroke. The condition is very popular among those in adolescent stage in which they binge eat at an uncontrolable state at very short time.
Pica, on the other hand, is a very weird and alarming condition. This happens when a person develops a habit of eating undedible things such as dirt, paper, hair, nails, cloth, etc. Its very common on children but can happen to older ones as well. This leads to infections, vomitting, poisoning and digestive system injuries.
